New Hope
The Haven offers a safe, welcoming space where people experiencing homelessness can find compassion, support and practical help. The people who come to New Hope do so from all walks of life. Homelessness can happen to anyone, and as the cost of living continues to place pressure on vulnerable people, demand for the Haven’s services remains high. The Haven provides essentials such as nutritious food, packed lunches, showers and laundry facilities, alongside caring, experienced staff who offer advice and support. Sometimes simply somewhere safe to sit and talk can restore dignity and provide hope. Many people have been let down by support and care services in the past, so the dedicated team build relationships with visitors, enabling them to connect with healthcare, housing support, benefits advice and other specialist services. From here, the team work with each person to arrange pathways into accommodation away from the damaging effects of street homelessness. It is only thanks to the kindness and generosity of our local community that we can provide this comprehensive support for people experiencing homelessness in Watford.
